Really beautifully edited book-catalogue of the exhibition held in National Museum in Warsaw, 2000, mid-hard cover, very many coloured photos and illustrations on 463 pages (written in Polish language), 9 x 13 in. High quality photos are showing Turkish weapon such as: swords, daggers, rifles, pistols, powder-flasks, ammunition pouches, saddles, horse armour, military shield, armour, seals and many others - everything bejewelled which gives breath taking impression. Despite the military equipment, what you can find as interesting these are wonderful carpets, arrases, illustrations of clothing of the time, water-colours and paintings of places (such as Konstantynopol) or paintings commemorating particular moments of historic interest (e.g. The Battle of Vienna). This extremely beautifully edited book (hard cover with soft cushion-like surface,) has just been published in Warsaw 2003. The author has been in study of Japanese swords for nearly 20 years. Here Henryk Socha shows us the album of 100 tsubas from Polish private collections.
