First of all this album includes wonderful photos as you can see on those included here – from the old ones to the contemporary, which show the beauty of horses bred in Bialka, the place set up to be one of the greatest (one of the few main studs in Poland, as for example Janow Podlaski) in the year 1928. The great number of purebred stallions coming from Bialka were reproductors and this way "fathers" of great families. Fully described in Polish or English, details on the particular "families", stallions and mares, their history and everything about their first home – Bialka, situated in the south eastern Poland. Beautifully edited. Amazing photos taken by 8 photographers. Published in 2000, hard cover, 96 pages, size: 10.7 x 11.8 in., 130 b/w and color photos. Polish - English edition.

A must for those who appreciate the beauty of those gorgeous animals.

This book has great historic and didactic value in the subject of Arabian horses breeding in the Second Republic of Poland (II Rzeczpospolita). This unique publication inludes informations collected by the author with indeed benedictine precision; it is really "titanic" work! The author has described the studs with long breeding traditions – as long as the time before the I World War and the breeders who started their breed activity in the years 1918-1939.  In that time horses had very big importance (they were bred not only by Polish aristocracy, nobility and wealthy people) as well connected with the State defence. Many Arabian horses served in Polish Army. Dozen cavalry regiments (one regiment needed about 1000 horses), horse artillery units, light and heavy artillery units, scouts units, trains and other group formations needed horses of big quantity. Many of them died during the war, many were stolen by the Soviets. Author does not finish his work at the moment of  the 2nd Republic of Poland collapse, and shortly describes further history of Polish Arabian horses at the time of the Communist Era – the reconstraction of  this race after the war conflagration. As we can learn here - even such tiny studs can give the beginning of the precious breeds restored today. Hard cover, 227 pages, size: 8.5 x 10.6 in., black&white photos. Published in Poland 2002.

This is a beautiful photography album about horses. All pictures have been made by Justyna Soczynska, a great photographer who says that “no other animal occupies such a significant place in our culture as the horse.” This big, warm animal is an object of fascination and joy, love, a source of knowledge as well as responsibility – she continues.

“A world with horses” is filled with meanings, reference, emotions, allegories, legends. All of these depicted on the very high quality photos (in number of about 120, hardcovered, Polish, English and German descriptions and introduction, edited in 2000, Poland). A must for horse lovers!!
